Our next graduation ceremonies will take place between 11-15 February 2025. Bookings will open in November.
Eligible students will receive an email invitation from Academic Awards on 21 May 2024, which is sent to your 51Âþ» alumni email address and any personal email address you registered on the university’s student record system. .
If you haven’t received an invite and have checked your junk mail, contact the graduation team by email at academicawards@dmu.ac.uk, or by phone on +44 (0) 116 257 7307 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
When you receive the email invitation, you will need your student ID, or P number, to book your place on the system. When entering your P number, remove the 'P' and just enter the number.
The ceremonies are for students who have passed ALL elements of their course between the dates of 25 November 2023 and 28 June 2024. Please note that graduation booking will close on 18 June at 5pm so if you expect to pass still book your graduation place and guest tickets, your booking, you can always cancel the booking later. These are strict deadlines; any student who passes after 28 June, will be invited to our winter ceremonies in 2025. This also includes where reassessed work has been submitted but not finalised before 28 June.
Note that students must fully pass their course and have received faculty notification of passing-Students with provisional marks not finalised will not be eligible to attend.
The closing date to book your place at the graduation ceremony is 18 June at 5pm. We recommend not leaving your booking to the last minute!

We understand that some students may be unable to meet the cost of robe hire and guest tickets for their guests. The University Graduation Support Fund aims to help students who face financial difficulty in meeting the costs of attending their graduation.
You may be eligible to apply for this fund, an application form and supporting evidence is required.
The Graduation Support Fund will open 12 noon on 21 May and closes on 18 June at 5pm. Applications received after this time will not be accepted
Some ceremonies fill up quickly, so seating might be limited; we strongly advise that you book straight away to avoid disappointment. If after booking you can no longer attend, you can cancel later.

Certificates not issued at our September ceremonies will be posted after the ceremonies to the permanent address that is registered on the university's student record system.
If you no longer have access to your student record via My51Âþ» and believe your permanent address is different to our records, please email academicawards@dmu.ac.uk stating your name, course and P number.
Please note that certificate collection in person at the university campus is not available.
