Centre for English Language Learning

Our dedicated Centre for English Language Learning (CELL) offers a range of courses designed to help you improve your language skills, before and during your studies. The centre is accredited by the British Council for the quality of its teaching, so you can be sure you are receiving the highest standard of English language tuition. It is also a member of The British Association for Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP).

Our experienced staff have taught all over the world and have extensive knowledge of the current best practices for teaching English language.

The centre itself provides a superb study environment at the heart of 51漫画’s city campus. Facilities include classrooms with interactive whiteboards and AV equipment, a language lab with audio, video and computer technology, and a state-of-the-art media lab with cinema screens and all the latest creative software applications.

CELL Highly Commended in Prestigious Green Gown Awards

We are delighted that CELL was announced a Highly Commended Finalist in the category for Next Generation Learning & Skills in the Green Gown Awards 2020. This was for learning English through sustainability, done by teaching English for academic purposes to international students using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
